Rob Jones MTh (Commendation), LTh (Distinction), MSc, BEng (2.1 Hons)

Pastor. I am an accredited Scottish Baptist Pastor with over eight years in paid pastorate, and with a pioneering way of doing ministry and a love of the outdoors.

Pioneer. Having been involved in various church planting and revitalisation projects, my core gifts (in addition to preaching and teaching) are as a people enabler and community builder. I have managed large numbers of volunteers, and I am always keen to come alongside and equip people according to their gifts. It has been a real joy to me to set up drop-ins within both church and town centre environments, seeing community grow and people become discipled followers of Jesus (often) outside of traditional church environments.

Workplace chaplain. This professional post enabled me to be a pastor to the fire service and taught me how to offer pastoral support to town centre businesses and various workplaces. I now carry this experience forward into my day-to-day ministry.

Youth (Cycling) leader. I hold a level 2 TCL (Trail Cycle Leader) certificate and a road cycling coach level 2 certificate from Cycling Scotland, and have over 20 summers experience in leading Mountain Biking at a Christian summer camp. I have also run a few youth Christian events. This experience has been a foundation of my desire to mix a love of the outdoors with discipleship and sharing faith in Jesus.
