This website blog is a collection of musings and projects about following God in the outdoors, in the cloud by day and the fire by night. Some posts will be aspirational ideas of what could be, and others of projects underway, and yet other blog posts will be about being a faithful folllower of Jesus in both good and difficult times.
Of course the inspiration for the website is based on how the Lord led the Israelites during their period of travelling in the wilderness (Exodus 13:21-22)
21 By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. 22 Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.
During difficult periods in our lives, it is often in the wilderness that we sense the leading and protecting presence of the Lord during times of weakness and vulnerability. It has been true for me and also for others; I believe that both outdoors ministry and pilgrimage can help us to recognise the healing and protective presence of God.
