Cloud and Fire

Here’s one I used, reading from John 21:1-19, which sees the resurrected Jesus cooking fish on the camp fire, the miraculous catch of fish and the reenstatement of Peter after his denials of Jesus.

I offered the following two reflections:

1. As you come to Jesus today, what is your log jam, what is it He forgives you of to allow you to follow him?
2. Now consider this, how is Jesus calling you forth, what is it he is leading you into as you follow him moving forward?

I could have led this in small group discussion but instead, we chatted informally afterwards about these topics as we ate food together.
